A lifelong oil painter, my focus has broadened with an ongoing digital print series, "Im Material." My paintings and drawings mined, from past to present, whole and in part. Rephotographed and recycled, the works are released from original material form, imagery, content and scale, to become raw material, To be transformed into independent digital artworks. Like plastic bottles into new toys. Like "the present creates the past creates the future." A misremembered something I read somewhere; meaningful and accurate.
